Four Methods to Improve Oil Yield of Rice Bran Oil

There are four methods to improve the yield of finished rice bran oil:

  1. Pre-treat the rice bran by expansion in time. On the one hand, the expansion treatment can make the powdered rice bran puffed into a porous, permeable columnar structure, increase the density of the rice bran, and accelerate the penetration rate of the solvent, which is conducive to the penetration of the solvent during the rice bran oil extraction process and reduces the residual oil in the bran; on the other hand, the expansion treatment can also make the lipase in the rice bran fully passivated and inactive, so that the rice bran is not easy to rancid during the storage process, prolong the shelf life of the rice bran, greatly reduce the acid value of the extracted crude oil, and improve the quality of the extracted crude rice bran oil. Therefore, after expansion, the rice bran can not only increase the yield, but also improve the extraction characteristics of the material, increase the penetration rate of the solvent in the material, save energy in the subsequent rice bran oil processing steps, reduce the solubility of the wet meal, increase the concentration of the mixed oil, enhance the desolventizing capacity of the degassing machine and evaporator, reduce various consumption, and improve the oil yield of the rice bran.
  2. Use solvent dewaxing. According to the average wax content of crude oil of 3.5%, the yield of finished oil by solvent dewaxing is 5% higher than that of conventional dewaxing. Conventional dewaxing can increase the dewaxing filtration speed and the yield of finished oil by about 1.5% by optimizing the crystallization curve.
  3. Use physical refining technology. If the acid value of crude oil is 20mg/g, through physical refining technology, the yield of finished oil will be 5% higher than that of chemical refining. At the same time, the finished oil obtained by physical refining is light in color and has good quality.
  4. Dewaxing and alkali refining in the state of mixed oil. The low viscosity of oil can greatly increase the dewaxing rate. Dewaxing and alkali refining in the state of mixed oil can increase the finished oil by about 10%, and the yield of first-class oil can exceed 70%.
